Our First Project

Giving world class care to raped children in urgent need of surgical care, medical care, psychiatric care, and pre and post-natal care.

Benefactors: Mothers aged 9 -12 years old, upon C section.

Location: Buru Buru, Nairobi.

*Success: 122 children ages 9-14 years have received expert private hospital care, and have safely given birth via C Section. All child mothers have received trauma therapy and post natal care and counselling.

Infant and Child Post Rape Rehabilitation

A full service program – including the rescue, transport, surgical, medical, psychiatric and long-term care of raped infants and children in Kenya.

Benefactors: Raped infants and children, male and female, in Nairobi

Location: Launched in Nairobi, and became Kenya wide in April 2015. Permanent Project.

Success: 1072 infants and children have received post rape repair and reconstruction surgeries, and have been rescued in emergency situations, not limited to sex trafficking, child prostitution rings, and violent sexually abusive environments. All children received funding through the Paediatric Medical and Rehabilitation Funds. All infants and children have made a complete recovery.

Outreach program

A 24 hour contact, counselling and reporting program commenced by our team inside the informal settlements in Buru Buru and Embakasi police divisions, in Nairobi.

Benefactors: Raped and/or pregnant children in these areas

Location: Launched in Buru Buru and Embakasi, Nairobi, and became a Kenya wide program in May 2015.

Success: 4127 reports of Infant and Child Rape, Sexual, Domestic and GBV were reported that had not been raised or reported to the police, due to victims fear and lack of trust in the Police.

Long Term Education Program

A permanent and long-term education program established across Kenya to ensure that recovered infants and children would be placed in school, and never return to their abusers and abuse enablers. 99.18 % of the time an abuser or enabler is a parent, relative, guardian, or caregiver.

Benefactors: Raped and/or pregnant children whom the GBV Charitable Trust have taken in for post rape care.

Location: Kenya wide, with multiple locations.

Success: 311 children placed permanently in boarding schools since January 2015.

Child Rehabilitation Houses

Our end-to-end infant and child Post Rape rehabilitation program. Our team relocated permanently to Kenya in early 2017 and left corporate jobs. Our Post Rape rehabilitation centres and safe houses were launched and began taking in raped & sex trafficked infants and children, male and female, from 0-18 years.

Benefactors: Raped infants and children, male and female, ages 0-18 years.

Location: Kenya wide, with multiple locations.

Success: 1072 infants and children provided rehabilitation long term, and an additional 116 have been provided with short term care, emergency care and rehabilitation services.

Rape, Sexual Assault and GBV Outreach for Infants & Children

Rape, Sexual offenses tracing, and community contact initiative in the informal settlements across Nairobi. This program is designed with aspects of Play Therapy and Art activities, and initiates discussions with scared children and their caregivers about potential, or known rape.

Benefactors: Infants & children

Location: Kenya wide.

Success: Over 1000 cases of Infant and Child rape and / or sexual assault have been discovered through this program, and have been reported to the police.

Domestic Violence Prevention

Educational outreach program in the informal settlements across Nairobi, with the purpose to educate women about all aspects of Domestic Violence.

Benefactors: Women whom are victims of Domestic Violence, and their children

Location: Kenya wide

Success: Over 1,400 attendees across the informal settlements throughout Kenya.

Rape, Sexual assault and GBV Outreach for Women

Rape, Sexual offenses tracing, and community contact initiative in the informal settlements across Nairobi. This program is designed with Psychotherapy and creative activities, and initiates discussions with traumatised women about rape and sexual assault.

Benefactors: Women whom are victims of Domestic Violence, and their children

Location: Kenya wide

Success: Over 2800 cases of Rape, Sexual assault and GBV have been discovered through this program, with the majority reported to the police. Community fear and lack of trust and respect for the police force have been huge caveats for reporting.

Gender Based Violence Education Series

Community counselling and educational seminars across Kenya. All aspects of Gender Based Violence are discussed in detail, with a focus on the variable that cause GBV, trauma counselling and coping mechanisms.

Benefactors: Victims of Gender Based and Sexual Violence

Location: Kenya wide

Success: Over 3,350 attendees in the informal settlements and rural areas across Kenya.

Paediatric Medical Fund

Permanent monthly donors, private individuals, and CSR Donors who donate to the Trust for infant and child post rape surgical repair and reconstructive care, emergency medical care and all hospital inpatient costs.

Benefactors: Raped infants and children

Location: Kenya wide.

Success: 1072 infants and children ages 4 months to 15 years have received emergency lifesaving surgical, medical and psychiatric care under the Paediatric Post Rape Medical Fund.

Rehabilitation Fund

Permanent monthly donors, private individuals, and CSR Donors who donate to the Trust for infant and child post rape rehabilitation. This includes all psychiatric care, therapies, outpatient costs, pharmaceuticals, caregiving and private home schooling during recovery.

Benefactors: Raped infants and children

Location: Kenya wide.

Success: 1188 infants and children have received short or long term post rape rehabilitation services, which is crucial to break the cycle of abuse and prevent the possibility of promoting rape culture and behaviour.

Microbusiness & Start ups

Funding and set up of microbusiness and small businesses for women, which creations permanent income streams and self-sustainability.

Benefactors: Women whom are victims of Domestic Violence

Location: Kenya wide, with a focus on the rural communities.

Success: 87 women have been established with microbusiness and have been provided with self sustainable income streams. Women have also been given birth control, counselling, guidance on raising children and education.

Adult Education & Training

Training programs for women in our Domestic Violence program, whom are acquiring the skills needed to enter our Microbusiness and Start up programs, which creates women their own businesses, and gives them access to an international client base via our Online Store.

Benefactors: Adult females

Location: Kenya wide, with a focus on the rural communities.

Success: 16 women have been sponsored for courses in educational institutions, and have been set up with a micro business under our Microbusiness & Income Sustainability program
