Jo Newey – Sydney , Australia

I have know Gen for almost 20 years. We attending the same high school and grew up in the same town. After school we lost contact for a few years as we went to different cities to study and work. Through social media we reconnected and I got to see the work Gen started to go with her charity when still based in Australia.

I wanted to help. Knowing Gens personality I knew that whatever she set her mind to she would give 100% and truly give herself to.

I have been donating and supporting Gen since the very first day she set foot in Kenya. From the beginning I have watched her give her all to the children, to the point that she quit her job, and the opportunity to finish Post Grad Medical School in Australia, sold up her life and moved herself and Allegra to the other side of the world to be able to give more to the children.

I can honestly say that proud doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel about what Gen has done and achieved.

I am constantly floored by what Gen is doing and continues to give to the children. She is tenacious and feisty when on the trail of any injustice and crime. She is loving and caring when taking care of the children.

She is savvy and bold when in negotiations and business. The amount of hats she is wearing day in and day out is astounding and she does it all whilst somehow managing to keep her wicked sense of humour and grace.
Gen thank you for letting me be a small part of what you are doing and achieving over there.

I am in awe of you and what you have so selflessly invested into hundreds of kids. Your time, your money, and your own needs are so clearly invested into your fight to end child and baby rape.

I will continue to support and champion you.
